Last week, we asked: Are you concerned about the inappropriate use of contract workers in your organization?
- No — we are fully compliant, 52%
- We do not use contracted employees, 23%
- Somewhat — there are some issues, 17%
- Yes — I believe we are out of compliance, 9%
I’m a little surprised at this, but I probably shouldn’t be. Many people think they are in compliance with contractor rules in the U.S. but, in my experience at least, very few companies come up perfect. The IRS has some good guidelines to start with.
