IHOP recently introduced new breakfast offerings, but that’s to be expected for the International House of Pancakes. Other quickservice chains are getting into the fold.
- Domino’s just announced that it’s introducing breakfast pizza.
- Wendy’s recently said it will add oatmeal bars, egg sandwiches, paninis and burritos to its new breakfast menu.
- WhatA Taco in Country Club Hills, Ill., has a “desayunos” menu, including egg dishes, breakfast burritos and potatoes with chorizo.
Breakfast has been a “bright spot” for restaurants, with “breakfast daytime” sales up 1% earlier this year.
