Today’s bonus tracks: Meet social media’s mavens

The jury is still out on what it takes to succeed in social media, but a new study by Wetpaint/Altimer Group certainly drops a few clues. The study looked at social media campaigns from a range of top tier companies and broke them down into four classes: Mavens, Butterflies, Selectives and Wallflowers. Mavens, the most successful class, have a high level of engagement across 7 or more social media platforms.  The weakest group, Wallflowers, use only a handful of platforms and their content is passively doled out to the yawning masses. Get tips on increasingly your engagement level everyday from SmartBrief on Social Media.
