Smartbrief on Workforce readers are an altruistic bunch, it seems. In many cases, as managers, you likely have already had to forgo your own raises — if not taken a pay cut — to keep your people from losing their jobs. While I haven’t faced that decision, I would also say “yes.” For the one-fifth of you who said no way, perhaps you’d be more open to the idea if you got to choose exactly who got to stay thanks to your largesse, a la Fox’s new reality show, “Someone’s Gotta Go.”
