Long-distance romance is no fun — not even for your dream job. I agree with the majority of respondents that I would be willing to make this sacrifice for long term career gain, but only for a short term. And my definition of “short term” has gotten much shorter now that my husband and I have a young child. Indeed, being able to maximize my time with my family has become a core part of my personal definition of a “dream job.”
