littleBits has released its Code Kit designed to let students in grades 3-8 learn how to code and build games. The kit comes with components to create four games, plus an assortment of bits and accessories and code kit app.

Mel Science has debuted a collection of virtual-reality chemistry lessons for students in K-12. Six lessons, which run on Google Daydream, are available for free download now online.

Vernier offers training workshops for STEM teachers

Vernier is hosting its Summer Institute, a series of day-long training workshops in 13 cities, for science, technology, engineering and math teachers. The toolkit, available for free, includes security questions to ask vendors and steps for vetting online tools, among other features.
