Tales of offbeat limited-edition foods from CPG companies resonated with SmartBrief readers this week, starting with the story about Kellogg’s plans for a berry flavored cereal based on the popular kid’s song “Baby Shark.” The new flavor will be sold at Walmart and Sam’s Club until supplies run out.

Target will sell limited-edition Creepy Cocoa Crisp M&Ms this Halloween season and French’s has teamed with Coolhaus Ice Cream to create a mustard-flavored ice cream for National Mustard Day.

Amazon stories filled two spots on this week’s Top 10 list, starting with the e-commerce giant’s reported exploration of a new retail grocery concept outside of Whole Foods Market. Also this week came the news that Amazon has launched  a private-label line of packaged goods for business customers.

McDonald’s made the news this week as well, with plans to test a second group of international menu items in the US. The new offerings, set to debut next month, include the McChicken McMuffin from Japan and the Savory Ranch Burger from Mexico.
